Tuna fishing offers an exhilarating and adventurous experience—this powerful and sizable fish presents a worthy challenge even for seasoned anglers. The primary technique for catching tuna is sea trolling, with baiting playing a crucial role. Smaller fish are chopped up and tossed into the water to create a feeding trail that attracts tuna. The success of landing large tuna depends significantly on their size. Once a large tuna is hooked, it is advisable to remove the rod from its holder and secure it in a waist support. A high-speed reel is essential, as tuna are incredibly fast, requiring quick line retrieval when the fish starts to tire.

Fishing excursions usually conclude with a photo session featuring the catch and a dinner in the open air. It is important to note that in Spain, catching yellowfin tuna for recreational fishing is prohibited; therefore, these fish are photographed and released. Other tuna species, however, can be kept.
